momentary

It’s a dime a dozen

or remember the time my watch

stopped

you were getting married or divorced

can’t recall which right now

doesn’t matter really, does it.

It wasn’t 7 o’clock anymore

but the colors made me hold my breath

anyway

you said i looked like a wreck.

like an accident

on the highway -

my guts gleaming

on the pavement and

the sparkle of death in my eye.
